In order for CPN Constructor Sarl to step up works execution and meet contractual obligations, the Minister of Public Works requested it to reinforce its mobilisation on Carrefour Yil–Carrefour Nkam 1 (24,5 km) section, in the Nyong-et-Mfoumou Division, by setting up more workshops throughout the route.
On the ground, preparatory tasks are almost complete, as earthworks and platform reshaping are satisfactorily carried out. Sub-base is over 74 % executed, while the construction of box culverts and other drainage structures are under way, paving the way for asphalting works. As at 21 July 2026, the physical execution rate stood at 19.97 % against 72.48 % time frame used. This lag prompted the Project Owner to order contractor to increase human and material resources so as to step up works. Funded by the Public Investment Budget to the tune of 4.135 CFA francs including taxes, the project was launched on 28 October 2024.
