During the traditional flag-raising ceremony, presided over on 3 August 2026 by the Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, the Secretary-General, Professor Urbain Noël Ebang Mve, delivered an address to the staff on peace as the foundation of public action and development .
Speaking on the esplanade of the Ministry’s headquarters, the Secretary-General reiterated that peace, the first pillar of the national motto, ‘Peace – Work – Fatherland’, is built day by day through dialogue, respect for the public interest, and high-quality public service. He emphasised that in the public works sector, every road, every bridge and every piece of infrastructure helps to bring communities closer together and strengthen national cohesion. As such, MINTP staff are called upon, through their professionalism and commitment, to be “peacemakers at the service of Cameroon.”
