The Dargala-Tokombéré road section was among the projects assessed during the Road Project Review presided by the Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, on 5 May 2026 at the Ministry’s headquarters building
The rehabilitation works on the 15.400km-long road linking Dargala to Tokombérè in the Far North Region of the country, are ongoing with significant progress estimated at 71.35%. These works are executed by Sadjo Baba Entreprise at the cost of 4, 72, 621, 719 CFA francs including taxes.
Following a slowdown due to previous rainy periods in 2025, works resumed strongly this year, with the implementation of sub-base and base courses.
Early in May 2026, the main intervention concerns the underway at KP 12, involving the demolition of an inadequate damaged box culvert and its replacement with a new 40-metre concrete slab culvert to improve drainage.
The project aims to facilitate the movement of people and goods by improving accessibility in the Mayo-Sava Division.
