As the most deteriorated stretch among the five lots along the Ngaoundéré–Garoua road currently undergoing reconstruction, the Salah Bridge–Ouro André Village Entrance route must be efficiently repaired. During his second stop, the Minister of Public Works visited the living quarters and the Gouna crushing plant, where machinery is operating at full capacity, before instructing that works be stepped up on the most damaged sections.
Along this 56-kilometre stretch, several parts of the carriageway show significant damage. In Gouna, the Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, commended the contractor’s commitment and the operational standards of the facilities. At the crushing plant, machinery is running at full capacity, and nearly 15,000 tonnes of aggregates have already been produced. The living quarters are also operational and the teams are in place.
Given the condition of the carriageway, the Minister of Public Works has ordered appropriate repairs to the most severely damaged sections. These measures aim to maintain traffic flow, rapidly alleviating the difficulties faced by road users while preparations for the full reconstruction are underway.
